曾愷芯為跨性別教師，出生時的性別被指定為男性，之後感受到自我認同與出生性別為不一致的掙扎，曾因婚姻關係而壓抑內心對女性認同的渴望。直到2013年妻子病逝後，才決定重新以女性身份生活，勇敢成為自己。
作為教育工作者，他的轉變需要極大勇氣，當時任教的台中一中不僅支持他的決定，並設立性別友善廁所，成為校園實踐性別平權的典範。
曾愷芯老師讓學生與社會看見跨性別者的真實樣貌，更以行動促進社會理解與包容，為台灣性別教育帶來深遠影響。
Profile
Tseng Kai-hsin is a transgender teacher who was assigned male at birth but later experienced a conflict between her gender identity and her assigned sex. She initially suppressed her female identity, in part due to marital obligations, and only after the passing of her wife in 2013 did she decide to live openly as a woman, courageously embracing her true self.
As an educator, Tseng’s transition required immense bravery. Her school, Taichung First Senior High School, not only supported her decision but also established gender-friendly restrooms, setting a model for practicing gender equality within the campus.
Through her personal example, Tseng Kai-hsin has allowed students and society to witness the real lives of transgender people and actively fostered understanding and inclusion, making a lasting impact on gender education in Taiwan.
人物紹介
愷芯（ツェン・カイシン）は、トランスジェンダーの教師である。出生時に割り当てられた性別は男性だったが、自身の性自認との不一致に長年葛藤を抱き続けてきた。結婚生活の中では、女性として生きたいという内なる願いを抑圧していた時期もあった。2013年に妻を病で亡くしたことをきっかけに、女性として生き直す決意を固め、勇気を持って自分の人生を歩み始めた。
教育者としての立場での転身には勇気が必要だったが、当時勤務していた台中第一高級中等学校（台中一中）は、彼女の決断を支持し、ジェンダーフレンドリー・トイレを設置するなど、学校現場におけるジェンダー平等の実践的なロールモデルとなった。
曾愷芯先生は、学生や社会にトランスジェンダー当事者のありのままの姿を示し、その行動を通じて社会の理解と包摂を広げ、台湾のジェンダー教育に大きな影響を与えている。
