1. Organization Introduction
In 2010, the LGBTQ+ Health Center “Rainbow Heaven” was established, and in 2012 it was renamed “Taichung GDi.” In 2013, it was officially registered as the “Taiwan GDi Association.” In addition to operating the Taichung GDi LGBTQ+ Community Center, the association also provides services for diverse gender and sexual communities and their significant others through social work approaches. It actively builds local connections and develops multiple strategies for issue-based advocacy.
2. Work Areas
(1) Community Empowerment: Casework, group gatherings, thematic lectures, and center-based services.
(2) Community Education: LGBTQ+ Market/LGBTQ+ Life Festival, network collaboration, development of creative outreach tools, and public education.
(3) Social Advocacy: Policy participation, research and surveys, and issue-based public engagement.
